New Jersey Chapter Co-Leader

Sneha Kumar

“My name is Sneha Kumar, I am 16 years old and I am currently a junior at Middlesex High School. A few of my STEM related interests are in Computer Programming, Data Science, and Health & Medical Science. In my free time, I enjoy playing piano, tennis, and swimming. Some of my accomplishments in STEM activities include starting a Girls Who Code club at my high school and organizing and teaching a virtual workshop about binary code to young children.

As a leader of the GCL New Jersey chapter I hope to spread my passion for computer science with other young girls and empower them to pursue their own careers in STEM fields. I aim to do this by organizing events such as Python programming competition and website/app development classes.”

New Jersey Chapter Co-Leader

I have a passion for computer science and engineering, and I enjoy competing in tournaments with my school’s VEX robotics team. With my GCL chapter, I hope to inspire and assist young girls on their journey towards a future career in STEM.”

Girls Computing League works hard every day to help students achieve their dreams of entering a technical career field. We work with companies both to create higher education opportunities for students and hunt for mentors willing to support the next generation of computer scientists. However, we are reliant on our global community of enthusiasts, students and activists to bring about true change. If you are a student who would like to join this local chapter and be apart of the movement to bring about global change through computer science click on the button below to get started.
