Participants will get to learn by doing in our interactive workshops led by industry professionals. From award-winning high school students to esteemed women in STEM, participants will get to hear from today’s leaders on how AI is being applied to fields like healthcare and finance. This event is open to all ages, primarily middle-high schoolers

How will the event be held?

This event will be held virtually. Participants will recieve a Zoom link to the panels and workshops after registration.

Rishab Jain

Rishab Jain is a teenage researcher and artificial-intelligence enthusiast. When he was 13, he was named “America’s Top Young Scientist” for his research to improve radiotherapy for pancreatic cancer.

My research is at the intersection of machine learning and ecology. I am part of the computational sustainability community, trying to find ways that computer science can contribute to promoting the health of the Earth’s ecosystems and bringing interesting new problems back to computer science

I’m Darsh, and I’m a rising junior at Jesuit High School in Portland, OR. I’m interested in AI, specifically how we can apply AI to solve biological problems. Outside of AI, I also really love linguistics and fencing

Kripa Sankaranarayanan

Kripa Sankaranarayanan

Kripa’s professional experience at Intel includes Data Science and Machine Learning Algorithms Pathfinding, Deep Learning research, and performance analysis of Datacenter infrastructure. Outside of her job, she is a Women In Big Data (WiBD) west coast chapter mentor, and leads the Oregon Technical Leadership Forum with WIN (Women at Intel Network). She also enjoys travelling, horseback riding and sailing

I am an Associate Professor in the Biology Department at Reed College. My research explores different ways to computationally model biological systems, concentrating on how diseases such as cancer affect these systems
